Oaxial Pictures is an independent film label and studio headquartered in Almada, the sunny beach coast of Lisbon. We operate where myth meets method, pairing rigorous narrative structure with distinctive visual language. Our focus is feature length and short form works with sharp architecture, emotional clarity, and cultural tension. Built in Lisbon, distributed everywhere.

What we make

We develop, license, and distribute films that sit slightly askew from the mainstream: genre defiant, formally disciplined, and designed to resonate long after the credits. From calibrated thrillers to intimate dramas, we privilege clear intent and durable craft.

How we work

Our process blends editorial discipline with production pragmatism whilst giving creative and storytelling freedom to our creators. We keep teams lean, decisions traceable, and timelines realistic. Scripts are treated as gold, cut, and composition has to carry load. Operations are engineered for compounding outcomes: efficient shoots, predictable post, reliable delivery.
